About Us

The website is updated regularly to inform you about the services we offer. The website is part of our commitment to provide customers with up to date information and readily accessible advice on a range of health matters.
Dalys Pharmacy was founded by Damian Daly and Helen Lewsley in January 2009, and shortly after this date, it evolved into a real family business when Helen Lewsley became Helen Daly in July 2010.
The pharmacy has a history at its present location for over 50 years. Damian and Helen purchased the business from the well known Vanessa Chambers. Previous owners were Jimmy Sterling and the much loved original owner, Sean mcConville. Damian, Helen and the Daly Pharmacy team are proud to continue the legacy of great customer service established by the previous Pharmacists, and hope to expand on the vital role that the pharmacy has played within the local community.
After qualifying as a pharmacist from Queen’s University Belfast in 1996, Damian managed a very busy independent pharmacy in his home town of Dungannon. Helen qualified as a pharmacist in 1997 and managed a pharmacy in her home town of Newcastle. Together they have realised their ambition of running a family owned pharmacy business and both thoroughly enjoy working in and being part of the vibrant Banbridge community. Both Damian and Helen are committed to building on Dalys Pharmacy’s success as a valued independent pharmacy serving the community. Their mission is to provide an efficient, friendly and caring pharmacy service that meets the evolving needs of the community.
As part of that commitment Dalys Pharmacy provides a free prescription collection and delivery service. They also dispense medicines into weekly medi-dose boxes if required. In addition, a private flu vaccination service is provided whereby customers can get their flu vaccine in the comfort of the pharmacy and at a time that is convenient to the patient.
The pharmacy provides a highly successful weight management service for patients who are struggling to maintain or lose weight which has proven to be life changing for some patients. Friendly advice on a whole range of health matters is also delivered by the highly qualified healthcare team at Dalys Pharmacy.

Each year, at Dalys Pharmacy, we are able to offer Pre-reg training placements for up to two graduates for either 12 month or 6 month contracts.
We offer a comprehensive training program in a busy and friendly dispensing environment. Our two tutors have a combined experience of over 25 years. Invaluable, formal training days are offered as part of the package in addition to a competitive salary.

Dalys Pharmacy GDPR Summary
We process your personal data, which includes information from your prescriptions and any other pharmacy and health care services we provide to you (including medicines use reviews, flu vaccinations, stop smoking services etc.) for the purposes of:
Your care:
Providing pharmacy services and care to you and, as appropriate, sharing your information with your GP and others in the wider NHS. We hold your information for as long as advised by the HSCB. You have a right to a copy of the information we hold about you, generally without charge. You may seek to correct any inaccurate information.
Our payments:
Sharing your information with the NHS Business Services Organisation, others in the wider NHS and sometimes local authorities, and only limited information to those external to the NHS who negotiate and check the accuracy of our payments. We process your personal data in the performance of a task in the public interest, for the provision of healthcare and treatment and the management of healthcare systems. A pharmacist is responsible for the confidentiality of your information.
Management:
Sharing only limited information with the HSCB Business Services Organisation and others in the wider HSCB and sometimes local authorities, as well as those external to the HSCB who ensure we maintain appropriate professional and service standards and that your declarations and ours are accurate
